The Achill ROAR Adventure Race on 12 September 2026 is a multisport event on Achill Island, Co Mayo.

Disciplines include road cycling, kayaking and trail running, with 3 different distances catering for beginners up to experts. Starting and finishing close to Keel beach, courses are fully marked with race route details provided in advance.

The Kayak section is held on a small inland lake. Kayaks can be provided (these are single & double sit on tops). There is an option to bring own kayak, paddle & buoyancy aid.

To enter this event you need to have current membership to Adventure Racing Ireland (ARI).

Distances/Events

Adventure Race / Multisport - Bike + Kayak + Trail Run:
Challenge (16 yrs+): 18K ( ~ 1 to 2.5 Hours)
Sport (16 yrs+): 32K ( ~ 1.5 to 3.5 Hours)
Expert (18 yrs+): 63K ( ~ 3 to 6.5 Hours)
