The Cavan Kayakarun on 9 August 2025 is a Multisport Adventure Race with an event for beginners, seasoned racers and experts.

Cycle through the Drumlins of east Cavan, kayak around the stunning crannogs of Barnagrow lake and enjoy the scenic views of Lough Sillan and Lough Tacker as you run or hike along the quiet trails and laneways.

Choose from 2 courses - CKR Petite for beginners and the full CKR. Enter solo or in a team of 2 or 3.

2025 celebrates the event's 15th year, as one of the first Adventure Races held in Ireland. This is a community-run non-profit event organised by Adventure racers and sports people.
