The annual Waterford Viking Marathon is from 20 to 21 June 2026 with a route starting and finishing in Ireland's oldest city.

Sunday's main events include the full Marathon, Half Marathon and a 10km distance. There is a relay option in the Marathon distance (teams of 2).

The courses pass stunning landmarks, including the majestic River Suir, and enjoy views of the lush Waterford countryside. For those running the Half or full Marathon you’ll also be treated to the vibrant colours and world-renowned beauty of Mount Congreve Gardens, known for their stunning landscapes and diverse plant collections.

Also on Sunday is an 8km Disability-Friendly Run which welcomes adults with disabilities to take part in an inclusive and accessible event.

Saturday is a fun-filled morning designed for kids age 6+ and families, with 3 distances to choose from plus a family relay.
