Run in the Dark: Ballina

Wednesday, 13 November 2019

Ballina, Co. Mayo

Run/Walk Road/Path/Park

Run in the Dark in Ballina, Ireland is part of a worldwide run at 8pm local time over 24 hours on Wednesday, 13 November 2019.

You can choose between running 5k or 10k… and if your running shoes are a little dusty, you can even walk the 5k route. This year’s Ballina run will be championed by Moy Valley Athletics Club.

Blind adventure athlete Mark Pollock had a fall which left him paralysed in 2010. Shortly after the accident, his friends created the Mark Pollock Trust to support him on his mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury using robotic exoskeletons combined with medical research. Your Run in the Dark entry fee will go to the Mark Pollock Trust to help fuel this ambition.
