Last One Standing Calendar Ireland
The Last One Standing Events Calendar Ireland is a list of BYU (Backyard Ultra) and LOS (last one standing) events in Ireland.
These events are a form of Ultra Marathon race where runners must consecutively run a lapped course every hour, on the hour, until there is one person left "standing". Course lengths can vary for LOS events, but a BYU is specifically a distance of 6.706km (4.167 mi) - a pace of 100 miles per 24 hours.
The race is over when only one runner remains to complete a lap. All others are considered DNF (did not finish). This is the ultimate endurance race format that is becoming more and more popular across the world.
