The Boyne Adventure Race (B.A.R) returns to the Boyne Valley on 23 May 2026, hosted by the Boardsmill GAA Club.

This thrilling multisport adventure race consists of 38kms of running, cycling and kayaking. Participants will run along historic Trim Castle and the River Boyne through rugged quarries and deep woods, cycle along countryside roads and complete a thrilling kayak across a 30ft deep lake.

The race is open to adults of all skill levels - race solo or enter in a team of 3.

Multisport Adventure Race: Total ~ 38K:
Stage 1: 4K Run
Stage 2: 16K Bike
Stage 3: 3K Trail Run
Stage 4: 700m Kayak
Stage 5: 14.2K Bike
Stage 6: 100m Sprint
