The Gaelforce West Adventure Race returns on 12 June 2027 with an iconic 68km run, cycle and kayak along the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way.

From the start line in the beautiful Inagh Valley by way of Killary Fjord, to the top of Croagh Patrick mountain and on to the finish line in Westport, there is simply nothing to rival this spectacular linear route through the heart of Connemara. Terrain is bog and grassland tracks, sea, road and open mountain.

2027 also sees the return of Gaelforce Westport, a sprint event with a 34km run and cycle challenge from Westport. This distance has been created to welcome more people into the Gaelforce community and is the perfect chance to try adventure racing.
